A Beautiful Life

The Beginning- Rosa Mae Hoffman was born December 25, 1918, to Finnie (Steel) and Bolden Strum in Pike County, AL. She was a graduate of Union Springs High School. She was the product of the New Rising Star School System.

The Change- She accepted Christ early in life and was baptized at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She attended church services regularly and later united with the Walker's Chapel AME Zion Church family where she maintained membership until her departure and could often be found teaching Sunday School, singing songs, and reciting poems.

The Love- Rosa loved life and people. She was a sales clerk and business owner by vocation and could be often found serving people in various capacities. Her simple wisdom encouraged and comforted many. Her strong and determined spirit was a pillar to those who were blessed to experience her care and concern.

The Celebration- On May 19, 2011, Rosa departed this earthly life strong in spirit and ready to embrace eternal life. We gather to celebrate the beautiful life of Rosa Mae Hoffman. She leaves behind many relatives, friends, and associates.
